Snag Mode SMS Privacy

Last updated 8/3/2026

This page is maintained by the App Owner to answer common questions about the Snag Mode SMS program. It is not legal advice; please review it with your counsel before publishing.

What we collect

  • Your mobile phone number (stored in E.164 format) when you text us or add it to your profile.
  • The content of your text messages, including product URLs you send and any profile link you use to connect your account.
  • MMS images you send as a fallback when a product preview is blocked by a retailer.
  • Internal event logs for debugging, which contain a hashed version of your number and only the last four digits for identification.

How we use it

  • Read incoming messages and save the product URLs you text us to your Snag Mode list.
  • Send you transactional replies such as welcome messages, save confirmations, and optional follow-ups like the “add Snag Mode to your contacts” tip.
  • Troubleshoot delivery and ingestion issues using internal audit logs accessible only to Snag Mode administrators.

What we do not do

  • Your phone number is never displayed on your public profile or shared with other users.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number for unrelated marketing.
  • We do not use your messages for third-party advertising or profiling beyond the SMS service itself.

Subprocessors and carriers

Messages are sent and received through Twilio, our messaging infrastructure provider. Twilio and your wireless carrier may process message content, delivery status, and phone numbers in order to deliver the messages.

Your choices

  • Text STOP at any time to opt out of non-transactional SMS messages.
  • Text START to opt back in after previously stopping.
  • Add, update, or remove your phone number in your profile settings.
  • Delete your Snag Mode account to remove your profile data and associated phone number.
